Eight Johnson Controls J10 fanguns –
These are fully functioning J10 fanguns that have recently been used.
Here is the scoop on the J10 fanguns. Johnson Controls had purchased the York snowmaking division and they wanted to build a fangun to compete with other snowgun manufacturers. Between 2010 and 2015 is when these guns were being developed. At one point they had them working well and decided to manufacture over 100 of them. Part of the way through the manufacturing, everything was shut down. Most of the parts were ordered and sitting in a warehouse. Techno Alpin purchased the Johnson Controls snowmaking division and didn’t want to continue with the J10 and J20 fanguns. All of the remaining inventory was sold to Wolf Ridge, NC. We now have that equipment for sale as well. Support isn’t available for these guns, but there are plenty of parts in NC and many of the parts of “off the shelf”.
SMI might offer a Polecat retrofit to these.
If you are looking to make snow on a small tube hill, ski slope or even a snowcross race facility, these could be a good option for you. The price is right and the compressors are worth at least half of the gun price.
$5000 per snowgun or package price would be 32,000$ for all with an extra air compressor.
