Bid & win

  1. Is there a fee to list my equipment?
No. There is no seller fee to list on CHS Auctions. Sellers keep their full sale price.
  2. What does a buyer pay?
Buyers pay a 13% buyer’s premium on top of their winning bid. This is standard practice in the auction industry and is how the platform is supported at no cost to sellers.
  3. Can sellers set a minimum price?
Yes. Sellers can set a reserve starting bid, so equipment won’t sell below a price they’re comfortable with. Buyers always know what they’re bidding on and can plan accordingly.
  4. When can I list my equipment or browse what’s available?
You can create your listings and browse available equipment on GARAGE as soon as the platform goes live, before the auction opens. Bidding begins July 6, 2026, giving buyers time to research and budget, and giving sellers time to build visibility for their listings before the competitive bidding begins.
  5. How long does the auction run?
All listings open for bidding on July 6, 2026, and close on August 6, 2026. One full month of open bidding, with every auction closing on the same day. This gives buyers plenty of time to research, budget, and submit their bids.
  6. How are payments handled?
GARAGE manages all payments securely through a Stripe escrow account. Buyers pay with confidence knowing their funds are protected, and sellers receive payment reliably. No awkward back-and-forth or payment uncertainty as you find on a social media marketplace.
  7. Why auction instead of a classified listing?
Auctions create competition among serious buyers. A full month of open bidding means the people who truly want your equipment drive the price naturally, giving sellers confidence in the final value and buyers confidence that they paid a fair market price. And sellers can sell their equipment quickly and easily.
  8. Where do I access the auction?
The CHS Auction will go live right here on this page soon! Check back or sign up below to receive a notification.
